The Indiana Repertory Theatre has successfully renovated the former restaurant space on the first and basement floors of our home, the Indiana Theatre building, at 140 West Washington Street.
Thanks to a generous $3 million grant from Lilly Endowment, the IRT has restructured and remodeled the space to create a more welcoming entrance to our historic community building. The expanded lobby is now an ideal gathering spot before a performance, the ticket desk is now more open and inviting, and the gift shop is open extended hours. State-of-the-art digital signage provides information, promotional images and video, and music. The aptly named StreetFront Project makes transformative difference in energizing and beautifying our part of West Washington Street and adds even more vitality to one of the most distinguished landmarks in the city.
