1862. The Civil War rages on while Abraham Lincoln mourns the death of his young son and struggles to find a just solution to the problem of slavery. From Jefferson Davis to Dred Scott, names in books come to life onstage as Lincoln is haunted by vivid dreams and history comes knocking at the door. This play by IRT playwright-in-residence James Still was written to commemorate the reopening of Ford's Theatre in Washington, DC.
