Based on the novel Holes, this is
the story of Stanley Yelnats, a young boy who is found guilty of a crime he did not commit and is sent to a correctional
camp, Camp Green Lake, in the Texas desert. As Stanley works his way into the routine of daily life,
we learn about the workings of the camp and the relationships of the inmates. Stanley finds a good friend, a
treasure, and the truth about a family ancestor.
