Bah! Humbug! Ebenezer Scrooge is a grouch, a skinflint and a mean old coot. One Christmas Eve he is visited by three spirits who remind him of his past, show him what he is missing in the present and warn him of what awaits if he doesn’t alter his ways in the future. The IRT’s production of A Christmas Carol is a holiday tradition that has delighted audiences for more than a decade. With its faithful rendition of Charles Dickens’ epic story brought to life in a magical field of snow, it is a celebration of the power of language and a showcase for the IRT’s finest actors. But it is also a powerful story of loss and redemption that entertains and inspires new generations every year.
This year's production has no intermission and, with very few edits, runs 90 minutes.
