The IRT Summer Conservatory for Youth experience is an immersion into the creative process of theatre. Young people with a passion for this art form learn about theatre-making from professional actors, administrators, directors, and technicians, as well as their peers.
Acting Track Students: training in acting, voice, movement, Shakespeare, creative dramatics, and dance for theatre. Program will culminate to a public performance on their final day. Ages 8-18
Production Track Students: training in stage management, directing, lighting, scenic design, costumes, properties and playwriting. Students will also create individual production projects that will be exhibited at the acting conservatory public performances. Ages 13-18
Auditions for 2012 Summer Conservatory for Youth in Acting and Production
March 6th and 7th from 4-6pm
April 17th beginning at 4:30pm
Acting track students of all ages should prepare a 1-2 minute monologue and bring a photo the IRT can keep on file. Production Track students should bring a photo and portfolio or letter of intent. Call (317) 635-5277 after Feb. 1st to schedule an audition.
