ABOUT INDIANA REPERTORY THEATRE
The Indiana Repertory Theatre (IRT) was founded in 1972 and is the only theatre in Indiana to belong to the League of Resident Theatres (LORT). The IRT currently produces six productions annually across two stages (the OneAmerica Mainstage and the Janet Allen Stage) for diverse audiences. The repertoire includes work varying from world premieres to classics. The IRT serves audiences of multiple generations including students from third through twelfth grade. With a significant endowment, the IRT has relative financial stability and is debt free. Following many decades of diverse programming, the IRT leadership, in the past four years, has focused on further diversifying its staff and board, including ongoing anti-racist training for all.

POSITION PURPOSE
The Associate Director of Development is responsible for participating in the planning, implementing and evaluating development efforts aimed at individual constituents at all levels. Working alongside the Director of Development, this position will focus on annual giving, donor stewardship including event planning, lead annual fundraiser, moving donors up the pipeline and helping acquire new donors. Other responsibilities include additional fundraising initiatives as determined by the Director of Development. This position supports the Theatre’s annual funding campaign and is responsible for a portion of the IRT’s annual contributed revenue.
POSITION FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Collaborate with the Director of Development to plan, develop, execute and evaluate overall comprehensive fundraising strategies for annual individual gifts from the lower end through the Repertory Society (gifts of $1,500+).
· Collaborate with the Director of Development and Development Associate to conceptualize, plan and implement annual giving campaign communications strategy.
· Serve as primary staff, along with the Director of Development, for purpose of donor and prospect identification, cultivation, and solicitation.
· Work with Director of Development and Development Associate to develop and implement stewardship plan for all donors.
· Develop, plan and implement membership renewal process.
· Work with Development Systems Specialist to manage data input, gift entry and donor records for individual donors.
· Develop a system for tracking, recording and maintaining prospects and donor research and information.
· Work with Director of Development to manage income/expense for individual campaign and related special events.
· Work with Director of Development, Development Associate, Corporate Partnerships and board Radio Show committee to develop, plan, implement and evaluate event planning strategies for IRT Celebrity Radio Show, annual fundraiser.
· Represent the development team by participating in curtain speeches, greeting in Donor Lounges, attending IRT events and hosting at the IRT Celebrity Radio Show
OTHER FUNCTIONS
· Other duties as determined by the Director of Development
· Manage projects maintaining and meeting deadlines, prioritizing and multitasking.
· Is flexible and resourceful, especially when it comes to squeezing more impact from limited fundraising budgets.
· Attend and represent the theatre at many performances, committee meetings, community meetings, etc., frequently in the evening and on weekends.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience.
· Bachelor’s degree. Advanced degree, fundraising certification and ongoing professional development and training desired.
· A minimum of eight years of successful individual fundraising, annual fund knowledge and event planning.
· Experience with volunteer coordination, recognition and evaluation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- IRT is looking to rebuild our overhire lists as we recover from the pandemic. Positions include Scenic Carpentry, Upholstery, Scenic Artistry, Cabinetmaking, Rigging, Costume Construction, Pattern Making, Electrics, Audio Engineering, Projections, Stage Management, Production Assistants, etc.

- General knowledge in your given field or in some instances, simply the desire to learn more about a department.
