Tuesdays with Morrie is a life-affirming play that celebrates mentorship and friendship as a single visit between Mitch and Morrie turns into a life-changing weekly pilgrimage. Purchase a virtual ticket for this production and watch from the comfort of your home prior to the event. During our event, members will hear from partners of the event as well as Associate Artistic Director Benjamin Hanna. Benjamin will talk about the reimagined virtual season and share his experience with directing Tuesdays with Morrie. Members and partners are encouraged to invite their mentors and mentees to the conversation.
“If you are lucky, you know and love a Morrie. Your life-teachers may not come to mind immediately. Perhaps, like Mitch, your pursuit of progress has relegated them to the recesses of your memory. But they are there, somewhere, waiting to recount their pearls of wisdom and sage advice....I hope that Tuesdays with Morrie inspires you to remembering the words of your Morrie, whoever and wherever they may be, and that you live joyfully in our New Year.” –Benjamin Hanna, IRT Associate Artistic Director and Director of Tuesdays with Morrie

"We selected This Wonderful Life for a variety of reasons: we very much wanted to find a holiday piece that would gather people virtually, if not physically, around the idea of the best of American traditions–rediscovered community, reigniting individual purpose, and reinventing the essence of family celebrations. For many American families, the shared viewing of It’s a Wonderful Life, or its 100-year antecedent, A Christmas Carol, IS the meaning of the winter holidays." –Janet Allen, Margot Lacy Eccles Artistic Director

“There aren’t many plays that focus solely on retired and retiring Baby Boomers in a meaningful way. This play is a rare and delightful instance of serving a community of folks who somehow never thought they would age, but are now elders. As one of them, I feel a real kinship to this material that blends humor and real heart-felt insight, creating a lovely and loving theatrical event.”
–Janet Allen, Executive Artistic Director
