Special Programming
Kick off the holidays with an afternoon filled with the Christmas spirit! Families not only get to enjoy the beloved IRT classic A Christmas Carol, but also a holiday snack and beverage to enjoy during the show, an artist conversation after the play, and an interactive program where everyone gets to make a Victorian style ornament to take home. No bah-humbugs here, just a Dickens of a good time!

Sensory Friendly performances are designed to create a welcoming experience for all, including those with autism or other sensory sensitivities. Elements of Sensory Friendly performances may be adapted to ensure the comfort of all of our audience members. Sensory supports are available for all performances, just ask House Management.
Doors Open: 1 PM | Show Begins: 2 PM
The IRT offers ASL/AD services to our patrons with vision and hearing needs. Patrons with hearing needs are encouraged to sit in the interpretation zone and meet with the interpreter before the show. We also offer Assisted Listening Devices free of charge at each performance. To learn more click here.

Indianapolis-based artist Kyle Ragsdale has been painting full time, working as a decorative painter and stage set designer, and making fine art for over 30 years. He has served as curator for the Harrison Center since 2002. Ragsdale grew up in Texas and New Mexico, witnessing from a young age a mix of vibrant cultures and large, wild spaces. He earned degrees from Baylor University (BFA) and Southern Methodist University (MFA). Kyle designed sets for Summer Stock Stage for 18 years, and for several productions at the Phoenix Theatre and Cathedral High School. He is currently in his 9th season of creating paintings for the Indiana Repertory Theatre. His work has been shown in galleries locally and nationally, and has been frequently featured on HGTV’s Good Bones. His mural work can be seen in many public spaces around Indianapolis. Kyle creates in a beautiful studio at the Harrison Center, beneath stained glass windows and amidst a menagerie of paints, antiques, and eclectic music.
