Support the IRT

As a nonprofit theatre, the IRT relies on generous donors to cover nearly half of our production and programming costs. Donations of all sizes allow world-class theatre to continue on the IRT’s stages. Explore the many ways individuals, corporations and foundations can support the IRT now and help ensure its future for generations to come.

Ways to Give

When you give to the IRT, you not only support our world-class programming, but you also transform our community.

Individual Giving

As a supporter of the IRT, you have access to benefits that will enhance your experience at the Theatre and take you behind the scenes, bringing you closer to the incredible art presented onstage.

Our Supporters

Ticket revenue covers only a portion of what it costs of what it costs to produce world-class professional theatre at the Indiana Repertory Theatre. The IRT gratefully acknowledges the remarkable support we receive from our generous and committed community members.

How the arts influence communities

The arts expand our perspectives

by allowing audiences to explore meaningful issues and engage in civil discussion.

The arts improve our communities.

Where there are high concentrations of arts, communities experience higher civic engagement, lower poverty rates, and improved child welfare.

Arts education improves academic performance,

including improving GPAs and standardized test performance, and decreasing dropout rates and drug use.

The arts stimulate the local economy,

with attendees spending an average of $24.60 per person, per event attended in addition to their ticket price.

The arts fuel the national economy,

with nonprofit arts organizations generating $135 billion to the US economy annually.

Ticket sales cover only half of our operating budget, which means the Indiana Repertory Theatre relies on charitable contributions to accomplish our mission. You can play a vital role in our success by making a gift today!
